Maldron Hotel Merrion Road, Dublin

The hotel had some cleanliness issues in the rooms, but the top floor rooms were large and comfortable. The service was friendly and helpful throughout my 3-night stay. The location, while beautiful, was a bit out of the way from the city center, yet well-serviced by transportation. The dining experience was a mix of excellent and disappointing, and the facilities were generally satisfactory.

I was given a dated 'executive' room that looked nothing like the one I paid for, although it was clean, comfortable, and excellent value. The hotel needs a refurb to update the rooms, but they have everything you need, so the faded curtains and worn furniture didn't bother me much.

When I checked into the hotel, I found the rooms to be quite basic and needing some refurbishment. While the room was spacious and clean, it lacked a decorative touch and didn't feel very aired out. Despite that, the location was excellent, right next to the beach with easy access to public transportation. The service was friendly overall, although not always very helpful. The dining options were satisfactory with a limited offer but well-prepared dishes. The facilities could use some improvement, especially in terms of room maintenance.

The hotel was very big and comfortable, clean but not very fresh, a bit rundown, and so was the bathroom.
